Cuba Si France association calls for mobilization to support Cuba

Paris, Jul 8 (Prensa Latina) The Cuba Si France solidarity association on Friday called for a mobilization –slated for July 23- in support of Cuba and to strongly condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

In a statement, the French solidarity association, supporting Cuba for over 30 years, recalled that, like every year, the Cuba´s National Rebellion Day will be celebrated in France. This date commemorates the Assault on the Moncada (Santiago de Cuba) and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes (Granma) Barracks by the dictator Fulgencio Batista´s troops on July 26, 1953.

“Our Cuban brothers need us,” the association stressed in its call for political, social and trade unionists to gather at the emblematic Plaza de la República.

Cuba Si France described the US blockade against the Cuban people for over 60 years as genocidal and also called on US government to put an end to this hostile measure.
