According to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba performed 2,300 PCR tests in real time on Thursday to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Of 185 active cases reported nationwide, 182 are clinically stable, while three patients are being treated in intensive care units: two in a critical condition and one who is seriously ill.
At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 35 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,097,554 (99.2 percent of all cases).
So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,106,327 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020.
According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
