Vietnam-South Korea ties maintain stable development

Hanoi, Jul 6 (Prensa Latina) Despite global and regional uncertainties, the ties between Vietnam and South Korea currently maintain a stable development pace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his counterpart Han Duck-soo stated.

The two countries have become important partners, especially in economy, trade and investment, the heads of Government agreed during a telephone conversation held on Tuesday, which has had an important impact on national media on Wednesday.

Vietnam always regards South Korea as an important long-term strategic partner and aspires to work together with the East Asian country to deepen ties for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world in general, Minh Chinh said to his counterpart.

Han Duck-soo congratulated Vietnam for its achievements in recent times, particularly in containing the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic growth, and reiterated the desire to work with the Southeast Asian nation to intensify the sustainable bilateral relations in the future.

The two sides agreed, among other things, to effectively implement the bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms to increase the value of trade exchange to about 100 billion dollars by 2023 and reach 150 billion dollars by 2030.
