At a ceremony held at the Cuban Embassy in Japan, Dr. Tsuyoshi Masuda, president of the Min-Iren, received the ICAP’s seal from Cuban Ambassador Miguel Angel Ramirez, for the active work done by the organization in defense of the Cuban Revolution and contribute to disseminate the political, social and economic transformations of the nation.
“This decoration also recognizes the close ties of friendship that unite Cuba and the Min-Iren, based on a humanist vocation, mutual commitment to world peace and access to universal and non-discriminatory health,” Ramirez stressed.
The head of the diplomatic mission recognized the Min-Iren’s expressions of solidarity, materialized in important donations to the Cuban health system and the permanent support for the people’s struggle against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
He also stressed that not even the reinforcement of Washington’s hostile policy in the context of the global health crisis prevented the Cuban State from giving priority to saving lives.
The head of the Min-Iren expressed his desire to resume the medical exchanges between the two countries, temporarily suspended due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
