“A series of measures are implemented to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black and Azov seas. We created two humanitarian corridors for civilian ships. The threat of mines in the waters of the port of Mariupol was completely eliminated,” the defense minister stated.
Shoigu noted in statements to reporters, posted on the Ministry’s website, that Russian specialists cleared more than 3,700 hectares in the Donbass region and deactivated 46,379 explosive devices.
The general of the Russian Army also stated that in the last 10 days of the special military operation, 170 foreign mercenaries were annihilated in Ukraine and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
For his part, Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, confirmed that the Russian Aerospace Forces used high-precision weapons to wipe out up to 150 Ukrainian troops and destroy 12 military vehicles in Kharkov, belonging to the 93rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The spokesman summed up that since the beginning of the special military operation, the Eurasian nation’s forces have destroyed 231 Ukrainian aircraft, 134 helicopters and 1,451 drones.
