Those workers put an end to the strike after the agreement reached on Thursday evening among the Ministries of Transport and Finance, Israel’s General Federation of Labour (Histadrut) and the union that represents them.
According to the agreement, the bus drivers will be paid 50 shekels per hour (almost more than 14 dollars) as of next year.
According to a Histadrut communique, most of the demands were accepted by the authorities.
This week, the teachers also decided to return to the classrooms after the sector was paralyzed, although they continued their campaign to demand better wages.
