During a first meeting with members of the Cuban Association of People with Physical and Motor Disabilities (ACLIFIM), the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired Persons (ANCI) and the National Association of Deaf People (ANSOC) on Thursday, the president said that there are still gaps to be closed with this community, such as the access to employment.
The head of State established as priorities: to include representatives of those associations in the construction of public policies to be developed in the legal order and implement the pillars of communication, science and innovation, and informatization in the field of work of ACLIFIM, ANSOC and ANCI.
On the other hand, Belkis Delgado, director of Prevention, Assistance and Social Work at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, commented that ANSOC, ACLIFIM and ANCI bring together more than 143,000 members.
