For this new anniversary, this political force shows an increase of 4.3 million new CPC members, while its grassroots organizations increased to 4.9 million.

A report released for the date this week underlined that the growth of the CPC membership in 2021 was 3.7 percent higher than the previous year and 15.9 higher than the figure published during the 18th Congress of the party held in 2012.

The communist organization is preparing to hold its 20th national congress next autumn.

During the previous conclave, held in October 2017, it amended its statutes to include new concepts of governance, thoughts and strategies that seek to make it a stronger organization and move towards the country’s long-awaited socioeconomic and political revitalization.

Among other points, it includes precise actions against pending challenges such as poverty, pollution, financial risks, sustainable development and corruption, as they could hinder the national revitalization plans.

The CPC is also deepening the reform policy and opening-up that have become China the largest recipient of foreign direct investment and the world’s second largest economy.
