The Ministry of Health pointed out in its morning update that 42 deaths were added to the worrying number of infected in the last 24 hours, also one of the highest numbers in the last month.
With today’s data, the official reports put the number of cases at 5,986,917, of which 325,638 have lost their lives as a result of serious complications.
117,847 people showing onset symptoms were registered in the past 14 days, with the highest concentration in Mexico City, Baja California Sur, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Yucatan, Colima, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosí, Queretaro and Campeche.
The situation leads to accelerating child vaccination plans; children 10 and 11 years of age living in one of the 34 municipalities in the northern part of the Mexico Valley will be vaccinated from this Wednesday until July 5th.
