For this new anniversary, to be celebrated on July 1st, the group will show an increase of 4.3 million new militants, as its base organizations rise up to 4.9 million.

A report released this Wednesday on occasion of the date, highlighted the fact that the PCCh membership in 2021 grew 3.7 percent compared to 2020, and 15.9 in comparison to 2012, when the 18th Congress of the Party was celebrated.

It also referred to the integration of youth, workers, peasants, professionals, women and representatives of ethnic groups.

Women are now 28.4 percent of the membership, compared to just 11.9 back in 1949.

The proportion of militants from ethnic groups went from 2.5 to 7.5 in the same period.

The CCP will hold its 20th Congress next fall.
