The event will run until Saturday, in north China’s Tianjin Municipality, with an agenda that includes 30 forums to analyze issues such as ethics in that industry, its implementation in manufacturing, automotive sector, media and energy systems, digital economy and carbon emissions reduction.
The United Kingdom is the guest of honor and among the attendees are representatives from that country, Israel, as well as academics and engineers from China.
As part of the event, a virtual exhibition was opened, where 256 leading technology companies here and domestic universities will show their latest advances in the field.
Five competitions, including an e-sports contest and the popular robots soccer tournament with 137 teams from 11 countries, are also on the list.
Upon opening the congress, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xiao Yaqing stated that the country’s artificial intelligence sector has reached more than 59 billion dollars and has more than 3,000 active companies.
