Sponsored by the Hermanos Saíz Association, the festival of DJs (disc-jockey) on the island proposes in its theoretical program an approach to the history of the genre and the emergence of alternatives for its dissemination and commercialization, hand in hand with professionals and scholars of this sound expression.
Coordinated together with the National Electroacoustic Music Laboratory and the Cuban Rap Agency, the symposium will be broadcast from the social media pages of these institutions, which will host interviews with representatives of the style.
From July 1 to 3, the meeting proposes a concert calendar with around twenty DJs, including Danstep, Luzzy, Martt & Teo, Jhon Boss & Leo Ducasse, Reymel, Lino, Fabián, Piz, Yamsan, X -Alox, Are: Gone, Cold Blood, among others.
Three years ago, the event arose within the framework of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of this capital and was installed in the artistic scene of the marvelous city as a platform for electroacoustic sounds and hip hop.
The first edition of the event led to an exchange on the relevance of seeking more spaces and opportunities for the creators of the genre and the need for promotion and representation by national entities, with the purpose of exporting Cuban electronic music.
