The meeting is attended by 50 speakers from Latin America and the Caribbean and from this day until Friday they will visit recreational sites of interest in Cuba.
Among the places to visit is the most important resort in Cuba, Varadero.
Attendees will also get acquainted with the Tropicana cabaret, opened in 1939 and where both national and foreign artists of renown and popularity have performed.
The final scheduled discussions are linked to the impact of tourism on local development, presented by the delegation of Panama, and the role of the specialized press in tourism, by the representation of Uruguay.
Cuba aspires to reach the end of this year with 2.5 million foreign visitors and more than 80 thousand rooms in hotels, especially four and five stars, distributed throughout the country.
