The official spoke to the RBK TV channel and stressed that Russia was and continues to be an agrarian superpower, and pointed out that its main trading partners in the purchase of food are Turkey, Kazakhstan and Egypt.
She commented that despite the military operation and the foreign sanctions implemented, Russia has not reneged on its contracts with the countries not involved in the conflict.
Abramchenko stressed that Moscow, however, recorded messages from Washington calling on its buyers to reject Russian food.
She also said that there are many countries against the anti-Russian sanctions and want to continue trading with Russia.
Abramchenko said that, taking into account the effects of climate change and the threat of the drastic reduction of aquatic resources, Russia sees a great potential in cooperation with African nations in terms of food.
