Friends of Lebanon highlight efficacy of Cuba’s Covid-19 vaccines

Beirut, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) The president of the Lebanon-Cuba Friendship Association, Maurice Nohra, highlighted here on Wednesday the efficacy of Cuba's homegrown vaccines against the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

At a meeting with Cuban Ambassador in Beirut Jorge Leon, the Lebanese friends described Cuba’s return to the so-called new normal as a victory thanks to the control of the pandemic and the effectiveness of its vaccines, despite the intensification of the hostile policy by the United States.

Nohra ratified the solidarity and support for Cuba in the fight for the end of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than 60 years.

At the meeting, the president of the Association condemned the US administration’s policy of excluding Cuba from the Summit of the Americas held last week in Los Angeles.

The occasion made it possible to consolidate the positive ties between the Friendship Association and the Cuban Embassy in Beirut, as well as to reaffirm the accompaniment in the fight against US imperialism.
