Speaking at the continental meeting, from which host United States excluded Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, the head of Honduran diplomacy conveyed a message from President Xiomara Castro, who called for equal participation.
“We are one America, a homeland great in its richness and immense diversity. All equal States are part of this great and thriving continent,” the foreign minister stressed.
He also called for strengthening trust among democracies by fulfilling commitments on human rights, transparent governance and good regulatory practices, anti-corruption and the rule of law.
“A united America will help us move forward, an America without unilateral measures or blockades,” he further said.
He commented that President Castro, who was absent from the meeting in support of the aforementioned countries, agrees with all the issues and agreements emanating from the summit to seek solutions together and face the great challenges of the region.
