“According to Joe Biden, `Democracy is threatened around the world`. But the only threat against democratic peoples is the US interventionism that promotes coups, massacres and natural resource lootings,” Evo Morales live-tweeted.
The first former indigenous president also added the “#SummitoftheAmericas is shipwrecked and announces the end of US hegemony.”
Plus, Evo Morales posted on his Twitter account how the international press reported on “a worthy young man” who publicly accused the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, for lying.
“He (Luis Almagro) sparked off the coup where a great number of indigenous brothers were assassinated for championing democracy. #MemoriaVerdadYJusticia”, concluded the Evo Morales, who was bound to resign on November 10, 2019, amid protests, kidnappings, humiliation and threats against ministers, lawmakers and their family members.
On Thursday, the activist who berated the OAS Secretary-General for the 2019 coup deaths, Walter Smolarek, described Almagro’s lies as “despicable” about an alleged fraud in Bolivia.
In an interview to the state-run channel Bolivia TV from Los Angeles, California, the Temple University student and member of the Philadelphia section of the Party for Socialism and Liberation called for justice to also reach the masterminds deeply involved in Evo Morales´ overthrow.
“Not only those who pulled the trigger in the 2019 massacres in Bolivia must be tried and sentenced, but also those people who set up the political conditions, the intellectual authors for this to happen,” Mr. Smolarek stated.
