During a mass in Bkerke, the patriarch called on the Lebanese authority to resume negotiations on the demarcation of maritime borders and establishing land limits without concessions or auctions.
According to the National News Agency, Al-Rahi insisted on the need to preserve Lebanon’s rights over the potentialities of its natural resources in order to save the nation from the current economic and financial collapse.
He called for avoiding the pretexts that hinder the negotiations and withhold the Lebanese from these benefits, while neighboring Mediterranean countries have already begun to extract and export their gas and oil.
Al-Rahi also demanded the formation of the new government and assume responsibility for the problems that affect the population.
He called for a position of neutrality in the face of conflicts in the region and to work for the sovereignty, independence, stability and unity of Lebanon.
