Cuban FM meets with Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister

Havana, Jun 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Tuesday held a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Evgeny Shestakov in the context of the 10th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Consultations Policies.

During the talks, held at Cuba´s Foreign Ministry, Bruno Rodríguez reiterated the significance of Belarus-Cuba historic relations.

The Cuban foreign minister reaffirmed his country´s interest in continuing to strengthen cooperation in other sectors, and thanked Belarus´ traditional support for the resolution against the US blockade.

A press release from the Cuban Foreign Ministry said Bruno Rodríguez heaped praise on Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei´s condemnation of the US blockade at the 76th UN session.

On Tuesday, the Cuba-Belarus Inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs Political Consultation was held in Havana in the context of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
