During a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, Abbas urged the international community to stop the escalation of aggression by Tel Aviv forces, the official Wafa news agency said.
The Palestinean president considered the current situation in the occupied territories unacceptable and lamented the lack of international protection for his people.
In this regard, he again questioned the silence of the US government in the face of Israeli transgressions.
Abbas informed Macron about the increase in attacks from the neighboring country and its continuous unilateral actions in violation of international law, among which he cited the demolition of Palestinian homes, the murder of civilians, the continuous Jewish colonization and incursions into religious sites, Wafa specified.
For his part, the French leader expressed his support for the resumption of the peace process and advocated stopping the current escalation.
