In total, seven million meters of steel pipes will be used to build this wall, to protect Poland so that illegal immigrants enter from Belarus.
The construction work includes barbed wire on the wall and electronic surveillance equipment, such as video cameras, motion sensors and thermographic cameras, will be installed.
In 2021, Polish border guards recorded more than 41,000 attempts of migrants to illegally cross Poland’s border with Belarus.
