The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, highlighted that for the first time since 2008, unemployment was below three million people.

“Stable and quality employment is growing, permanent contracts are increasing and women and young people are improving their situation,” the head of the Executive wrote on Twitter.

The Ministry of Labor reported this Thursday that all communities recorded in May decreases in unemployment and increases in the number of workers affiliated to the Social Security, with greater incidence in both cases in the Balearic Islands, which recorded almost 52 percent less unemployed people.

On the other hand, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network presented a new report today, according to which Spain climbed to 16th in the global SDG index.
