According to the Twitter profile of the Presidency, Marrero specified that the Caribbean nation provides a favorable environment for foreign investors and its geographical location is a strategic factor for entering an expanding market.
Investing in Cuba -he said- “is a good decision, it is a safe market, a country where there is total security, control of the Covid-19 pandemic, a high educational level and a cultured and hospitable people.”
Marrero also exposed the economic damage caused by the blockade imposed by the United States on the island and thanked the position assumed by Italy at the United Nations Organization against this hostile policy.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, presented the business portfolio of the Caribbean nation, which has 678 projects, with priority in food production, renewable energies and the diversification of exports of goods and services.
Similarly, he showed the exportable supply of Cuban goods and services, where the biotechnological, tourism and agri-food sectors stand out.
The CIM Congress began the day before with a thank you to the Cuban medical brigade that faced the Covid-19 pandemic in Italian regions.
The CIM brings together Italians from countries where there are emigrants from that European nation and its 13th Congress is attended by representatives of those communities interested in issues such as the development of tourism in Cuba.
The meeting will continue until tomorrow and includes tables that will deal with foreign investment, construction, energy, and tourism.
