That event united singers from 16 countries of four continents, summoned in defense of peace and social justice, at times of political upheaval in the international arena and with a catalytic effect, according to protagonists and scholars of the movement in Latin America.
Dane is the first American artist who performed in the largest of the Antilles after the triumph of the Revolution, on January 1, 1959, and since her permanent commitment to the protection of the humble, she turned her singing into a weapon of struggle and resistance.
