Raad, who is also the leader of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, pointed out that the US interference reached a dead end, after the failure of the campaigns against the resistance in the May 15 legislative elections.
He insisted on the need to handle the country’s affairs without implications of useless slogans and on the path of reviving adequate living conditions for the citizens.
Raad called for more efforts in Parliament, politics, government, administration, public social work and at the municipal level to overcome the current economic and financial crisis.
In this regard, the lawmaker questioned how the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound against the dollar rose last week to historic levels of 37,000 to one dollar and in just few hours, it suffered a drop by more than 10,000.
On Tuesday, the 128 lawmakers elected to Parliament will hold the first session to appoint the president, vice president and their committees on the way to form the new government.
