According to the daily report from MINSAP, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 4,947 PCR tests in real time on Thursday to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Of 206 active cases reported nationwide, 203 are clinically stable, while three persons are seriously ill in intensive care units.

At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 51 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,096,387.

So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,105,181 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.

The death toll remains at 8,529, MINSAP noted.
