Civil aviation authorities told Global Times that the country’s flag carrier Air China is to permanently add to its itinerary the weekly Beijing-New York route as of June 5, in addition to the Beijing-Los Angeles route on Sundays and the Shenzhen-Los Angeles route on Tuesdays.
It will also increase trips to Belarus, Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
The news site yicai.com also reported that China Southern Airlines is now allowed to fly to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey, while Hainan Airlines can now fly to Italy.
Those changes follow the approval by the State Council (Cabinet) of a package of measures to revive the economy and support the industries hit hard by restrictions adopted in the fight against Covid-19 in China.
