An armed offensive by the Lebanese resistance forces in May 2000 forced the unconditional withdrawal of the Israeli military from their territory, marking a turning point in the struggle against the Zionists and the sovereignty of the region, according to researchers.
The Amal Movement emphasized that, in light of the threats and greed by the Israeli enemy, the resistance represents a national necessity in integration with the Lebanese army and the people.
The patriotic day includes a speech by Lebanon’s Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and a tribute to the martyrs of the Lebanese Resistance.
