This is how the high-ranking Russian official responded to reporters about the proposal made by European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“We know that Mr. Borrell is not an apologist of diplomatic methods of settling disputes. Contrary to the office he holds, he constantly demonstrates, even in public, his commitment to the position of strength,” the head of the Kremlin’s press office stressed.
About Borrell’s proposal to create the European Armed Forces, Peskov noted that the intention implies the militarization of the EU and further supplies of weapons to Ukraine and other countries.
“All these things will not contribute to improving security and stability in the European continent,” Peskov emphasized.
