The objective of the same is the exchange of experiences with different entities of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, the program specifies.
During the visit – which will end on Saturday – the Dominican experts will learn details about adaptation to climate change in the agricultural sector and the experience of the “Environmental Bases for Local Food Sustainability” project.
Cuba will show the advances in the implementation of the National Environmental Information and Monitoring System, elements on danger, vulnerability and climatic risks, the program specifies.
The issues of capacity building for the Caribbean region to face natural disasters and adaptation to climate change will also be addressed, while the possibilities of cooperation between both nations in this field will be explored.
The Dominican delegation will also be received in this capital by the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Elba Rosa Pérez, and the top management of the Environment Agency.
