The senator for the Guasú Front party and member of the Sixto Pereira commission stressed that the meeting is one more step to consolidate relations of friendship and brotherhood between both peoples.
The head of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples for the Southern Cone, Tania Parra, also participated in the meeting.
On the Paraguayan side, senators Amado Florentín and Pedro Santa Cruz, members of the Authentic Radical Liberal (PLRA) and Progressive Democratic parties, respectively, did so.
The Paraguay-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Commission is also made up of the former president of Paraguay and senator for the Guasú Front Fernando Lugo, Blanca Ovelar, of the Colorado National Republican Association party, and José Ledezma, of the PLRA.
This working group of the Paraguayan legislature has as its main objective to stimulate the progress of bilateral relations in various spheres and common interests.
