Speaking to reporters, the high official said that he held a working meeting with Douglas Rico, director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), to review what is related to those issues in the country.
“I held a meeting with the director of the CICPC to give instructions and review comprehensive strategies for the strengthening of the good police practices and citizen security, expanding training in criminal investigation for life. Venezuela is peace,” the minister emphasized.
He highlighted the need to make progress in the implementation of adequate police practices, an important link to guarantee human rights.
In recent months, the Bolivarian Government has undertaken a judicial reform, which has been accompanied by actions to monitor possible human rights violations, as well as the improvement of the conditions of the prison population.
