The former prime minister also announced yesterday that he will leave the meeting during the Ukrainian president’s speech because, in his words, “he lies every day,” reported the Pravda newspaper.
According to Fico, Zelensky’s words are contrary to the interests of Slovakia, therefore, he intended to ignore it, the local newspaper published.
On the interruption of oil and gas supplies from Russia, the politician clarified that he would “seriously harm” the economy and energy stability of his country.
In addition, the deputy Ladislav Kamenicky accompanied the leader of SMER in refusing to listen to the intervention of the head of state, and communicated his rejection of the “masquerade” in the legislative body.
This day in his intervention, Zelensky took the opportunity to ask Bratislava for help, and appealed to “European integration” in an attempt to join forces against Russia.
“The more actively we cooperate, the more we put pressure on Russia. And the more we strengthen European unity, the clearer the contours of our victory will be,” said the Ukrainian president with the clear intention of involving the countries of the region with his cause.
