“We believe that forging interaction and cooperation with neighboring countries and other States can activate our trade and economy,” Iranian President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi said.
The Iranian head of State, during the analysis of his nine months in office, assured that the volume of foreign trade has reached 100 billion dollars, a situation he explained is far from the conditions in which the country was received.
Many economists bet that inflation would increase from 40 percent to 60 percent, but with the measures adopted, inflation fell to 36 percent at the end of last year, he added.
Another serious challenge to the current Iranian Government will be to carry out an economic reform in response to demands by experts and the needs of the people, a sensitive issue that he pointed out the Government, Parliament and the judiciary are aware.
He noted that the government also worked on boosting foreign trade and oil sales, in the interest of advancing in a necessary approach to “reform the mode and location of subsidies for basic goods.”
