It was a cordial, friendly talk, in which Chaves stressed the importance of Cuba’s presence at the inauguration ceremony, conveyed a greeting to President Diaz-Canel and his condolences for the consequences of the explosion at the Saratoga Hotel in Havana, Perez told Prensa Latina.
The Cuban minister said that she also met with Environment and Energy Minister Franz Tattenbach and Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications Minister Carlos Enrique Alvarado Briceño, who reiterated their interest in developing the bilateral collaboration in their areas.
The director of Central America and the Caribbean at Cuba’s Foreign Ministry, Gustavo Veliz, and Cuban Ambassador to Costa Rica Jorge Rodriguez completed the Cuban delegation at the inauguration ceremony in Costa Rica.
