The regional executive added that the Ministerial Conference of the bloc of nations with coasts on the Caribbean Sea, held recently in Mexico, agreed to hold the Summit of Heads of State and Government in Guatemala at the beginning of next year.
Sabonge traveled to Cuba heading an ACS delegation to coordinate the organization of the important meeting in which the challenges being faced by the region will be addressed, in particular how to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic and mitigate the effects of climate change, among others.
The Association, based in Trinidad and Tobago, is made up of the Member States of the Caribbean Community, in addition to Cuba and the Central American Integration System, plus Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela.
