The number of admitted patients dropped to 2,508 (40 fewer), of whom 1,893 are suspects, 23 are under epidemiological surveillance and 592 are confirmed active cases (21 below the previous day), according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).

Of the total number of cases on Friday, 112 people were contacts of other patients, five with a source of transmission abroad and in six cases it was not possible to specify the origin of the contagion.

Health authorities granted 144 medical discharges, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,094,698 (99.2 percent of all confirmed cases).

In hospital centers, 592 positive patients were admitted, 583 with a stable clinical evolution, while nine are treated in intensive care units: four are critical and five are seriously ill.
