The Belizean president, leader of the United People’s Party (PUP), makes an official visit to Cuba.
Morales Ojeda briefed Briceño and his delegation on the implementation of ideas, concepts, and guidelines of the Eighth Congress of the PCC, held in April 2021.
He also explained about the situation that Cuba is experiencing and its creative resistance in the midst of the intensified blockade by the United States and its destabilization campaigns.
The Cuban party leader thanked the permanent solidarity of the PUP and the Belizean government.
He underlined on this occasion the support for the Caribbean countries in their right to receive fair, special and differentiated treatment, as well as in their claims for reparation of damages caused by colonialism.
The PUP leader confirmed the will to strengthen political and cooperation relations with Cuba. He reiterated the position of his party and government against the US blockade.
Both agreed on the importance to continue working to strengthen the ties between the PUP and the PCC, and on building the unity and integration of Latin America and the Caribbean, according to a note released here.
