President Luis Abinader, the country’s Agriculture Minister Limber Cruz and Ibero-American Secretary-General Andres Allamad are expected to participate in the opening of the Conference at El Embajador Hotel in Santo Domingo.
For two days, representatives of the 22 countries of the Ibero-American Conference will be addressing food security and nutrition; sustainable production; resilience and agroecology; challenges of the international trade in the face of the crisis in supply chains; the digital transformation of the agricultural food system and family farming.
The meeting is part of the calendar of activities the country is developing in the framework of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of this international organization and whose results will be taken to the 28th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will be held in this territory under the motto “Together for a fair and sustainable Ibero-America.”
