According to the daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Sunday, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 7,592 PCR tests in real time to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, totaling 13,674,903 such tests so far.
Of 1,185 active cases, 1,167 are clinically stable, and 18 patients are being treated in intensive care units, seven in a critical condition and 11 who are seriously ill.
At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 298 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the number of recovered patients rose to 1,092,199.
With those statistics, Cuba has accumulated 1,101,968 contagions since the pandemic was detected in March 2020.
The death toll remains at 8,525, MINSAP reported.
