Active participation in Arab League November summit in Algiers

Algiers, Apr 25 (Prensa Latina) Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today confirmed a very active attendance to the League of Arab States summit, scheduled for next November, in this capital, local television reported.

All the Arab states plan to attend the event, assured the Algerian president, whose country already hosted a similar event in 2005, the Algeria Press Service agency reported.

They are sister countries and everything that concerns them also concerns us, said the statesman, referring to the high-level meeting that will take place on November 1 and 2 of this year, coinciding with the celebration here of the Day of the revolution.

Last February, the Algerian president affirmed that all Arab states are brothers and his attendance at the summit is expected, since his country, he clarified, maintains a pragmatic relationship with everyone, without “adding fuel to the fire” to provoke chaos. .

Tebboune expressed his hope in a meeting at the highest level with positive results, above all, he considered, because it is a need of the Arab world.

In November 2011, amid internal unrest fueled by the West, Syria was expelled from the Arab League, although that decision was then opposed by Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen. Now, several Arab countries favor the return of Syria to that organization.
