We follow with deep concern the news about the Nazi battalions that planted explosives on containers with chlorine in the city of Belogorovka, in the Donbass region, in order to detonate them to curb the Russian forces’ advance, the Syrian Foreign Ministry stated in a communiqué.
The text condemned the destruction of a container at a chemical plant in Lugansk on April 9, which caused the release of chemical substances that contaminated large areas of land and endangered the population and the environment.
Syria suffered and is still suffering from similar incidents perpetrated by terrorist organizations, including the self-styled White Helmets, to accuse the Syrian Army, the Ministry stated.
It also called on international stockholders, particularly the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, to take the dangers of these provocations seriously and to not allow the politicization of these crimes.
