The bridge, which measures 220 meters long and 10 meters wide, is designed to carry loads of approximately 100 tons, Deir Ezzor Technical Services Director Rashid al-Hamad said.
In turn, the head of the Government explained that the bridge was opened on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of independence day and it is the result of the cooperation between the Armed Forces and the government institutions.
Today we will cross to the other side of the river and liberate every inch of the Syrian land from terrorism and occupation, the chief executive said.
Arnous denounced that the terrorists and the US-led international coalition deliberately destroyed all bridges to separate the eastern and western areas of the river.
In turn, Deir Ezzor Governor Fadel Najjar commented that this bridge becomes a social, economic and development lifeline, and facilitates the communication of people with their families, in addition to transporting their goods, crops and livestock between the Syrian region of al-Jazeera and the rest of the governorate.
