According to the daily report from the MINSAP, on Wednesday, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 7,999 PCR tests in real time to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, totaling 13,644,173 such tests so far.
Of 1,380 active cases in the country, 1,356 are clinically stable and 24 are being treated in intensive care units: 14 in a critical condition and 10 who are seriously ill.
At a press briefing on television, MINSAP authorities added that 326 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients is 1,090,977.
With those statistics, Cuba has accumulated 1,100,938 contagions since the first Covid-19 cases were detected on March 11, 2020.
The death toll remains at 8,522, MINSAP reported.
