In a telephone conversation with his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Iranian diplomat discussed the recent developments in the Islamic world, particularly Palestine.
Amir-Abdollahian described the situation as the scene of an escalation of attacks by the Israeli regime against the Palestinians and the holy sites in the occupied territories, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds, Jerusalem.
In a communique issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amir-Abdollahian wished that the Palestinian nation can achieve its historic rights with the support for the Muslim countries, while he thanked the African nation for its support for this oppressed people.
For his part, the Mauritanian foreign minister emphasized his Government’s support for the oppressed nation of Palestine and both ministers highlighted the bilateral relations.
