This new edition, whose motto is “Vuelve para que vuelvas,” returns in person thanks to the national Government’s efforts in the vaccination program, Culture Minister Angelica Bayolo said.
Bayolo emphasized that the Ministry of Culture joins the fair with a diverse program that includes talks and workshops to promote reading for the whole family.
The Republic of Korea is the guest of honor and, according to Emma Jungyoon Cho, a representative of the Asia-Iberoamerican Cultural Foundation, the pavilion dedicated to the Asian country will feature talks and workshops focused on coexistence.
The book fair takes place at the Corferias International Business and Exhibition Center in western Bogota and features 500 national and foreign guests from 30 countries, 500 exhibitors who show their offerings in a 53,000-square-meter area and offer 1,600 on-site activities.
The 34th International Book Fair in Bogota, organized by the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias, will run until May 2.
