The spokesman for the Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, indicated that 10 drones were shot down by air defense systems, while high-precision missiles destroyed an ammunition production plant near the Ukrainian town of Brovary, in the Kiev region.
He also reported that Russian and popular militia forces rescued a number of hostages held by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists in a Turkish mosque were and took them to a safe place during the operation to liberate the city of Mariupol.
According to Moscow, since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, the Russian military has annihilated 134 combat aircraft, 470 drones, 249 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,290 tanks and other armored vehicles, 254 reactive artillery systems, 992 field artillery units and mortars, as well as 2,166 special military vehicles.
