During the meeting, it was assessed the working results by the Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba in 2021 and ruled on the 2022 top priorities, including the inclusion of science and innovation in control processes.

A Presidency´s press release posted on Twitter said that Cuban supervisors will also prioritize the implementation of the government’s economic and social strategy as well as business improvement.

Audit is prevention, and there is no way to forecast whether it is not first of all taught how to do it and to anticipate possible deficiencies.

Currently, as many as 7,311 auditors work in Cuba, 60% of them are women and 38% are young people, which constitutes a strength for control system.

Attendees spoke out for keeping professional ethics and increasing self-improvement actions to move on in specialization and have a multidisciplinary vision of processes.
