Hospitalization toll jumped to 7,026, of them 4,241 are suspected cases, 33 under health surveillance and 2,752 as confirmed cases, according to the daily report by the Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish).
Out of total coronavirus cases reported on Friday, 592 were direct contacts with other infected, 7 were source of transmission abroad and 10 were not possible to specify origin of infection.
According to local health authorities, 702 people were discharged, for such a reason Cuba´s recovery toll reached 1,084,906 (99% of all those confirmed).
2,752 patients are still hospitalized, 2,724 have been reported with stable clinical progress, while 28 are treated in ICUs: 8 in critical conditions and 20 seriously-ill.
Provinces reporting highest coronavirus cases are Camagüey (88), Mayabeque (86), Ciego de Ávila (81) and Havana (66), while Guantánamo reported only three, Granma (6) and Santiago de Cuba (13).
Cuba has reached 1,096,234 diagnosed cases since March 11, 2020, and overall death toll remained at 8,517.
