According to the Movement of Popular Participation (MPP), a member of the FA coalition, to promote them, the high price and wage adjustments below the Consumer Price Index “are a reality in a country that has not suffered a crisis like the one it is long experiencing.”
It points out that the situation is not enough and the measures promoted by the Executive Power are “just patches” that pretend to alleviate a crisis as if it were temporary, when in fact they understand that it is not so.
The political force maintains that improving living conditions has to do with recovering the loss of earnings to workers and retirees, through the convening of the wage councils with guidelines that include granting special increases for public employees.
Other proposals aim at establishing a Fuel Price Stabilization Fund, charged to General Revenues, to cushion the impact of increases and deepen the tax relief measures for border businesses.
